Enroll in the USFSA Basic Skills Course.

Designed by U.S. Figure Skating, the Learn to Skate Program is a beginning ice skating program that is fun, challenging, and rewarding. Participation in the program will enable beginning skaters of all ages and abilities to learn the fundamentals of the sport and begin a lifetime commitment to health and wellness.

Ice Explorers!

Ice Explorers is a program tailored to those who aren’t quite ready to get on the ice just yet. Instead, we’ll start off-ice with exercises designed to get students comfortable with the rink, coaching staff, and movements required to skate. This program not only provides the student with knowledge, but the parents and guardians as well. You will learn how to properly select and tie skates and what the potential paths lie ahead for your students and how to get started.

SNOWPLOW SAM 1-4: The Snowplow Sam levels are designed to help the age 3-6 skater develop preliminary coordination and strength necessary to maneuver on the ice.

BASIC SKILLS 1-6: These six levels of the program introduce the fundamental moves: forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, three turns, and mohawks. Upon completion of the Basic 1-6 levels, skaters will have the basic knowledge of the sport, enabling them to advance to the more specialized areas of the sport.

FREE SKATE PRE-FREE SKATE – FREE SKATE 6:  Each free skate level is comprised of a variety of progressive skating skills, transitions, spins and jumps — all of which build on the previous skill, providing skaters a strong foundation of all elements. These levels will be taught in a positive and interactive group format such as a bridge program, circuit classes or as an introductory training program. Instructors will focus on quality and mastery of skills.

ADULT 1-6:  The Adult curriculum is designed for both beginning and experienced adult skaters who wish to improve their skating skills. Participation in the program will help promote physical fitness and improve balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. This is an exciting program for people who look to skating as an enjoyable part of a fit and healthy lifestyle.
